Team Levels: A and B and Tryouts
The following Divisions are divided into A and B teams:
Boys: U9, U11, U13 and U15
Girls: U11, U13 and U15
Tryouts:
All divisions with A and B teams have tryouts. The dates will be distributed as soon as available and are usually held in February. Players who want to be considered for an A team are required to participate in the tryout. All players are encouraged to participate in the tryout. ALC only registers the number of players for the available slots. Therefore tryouts are only about dividing the players into teams and are NOT about cutting players from the club.
Skill Assessment Sessions:
Girls U9 will have a skill assessment session. Each team within this division will have an equal number of experienced and novice players. The skill assessment dates will be distributed when they are available.
Special Request for Team Assignments:
Team assignments for the Divisions with A and B level teams are determined by the tryouts. This means that request for team assignments due to car pools, friendships, common school schedules or practice fields can not be considered for the A level teams. Same sex twin siblings are assigned to the same team. All other special requests regarding team assignments are honored at the option of the ALC Board under advisement of the coaches.
Practice Times and Fields:
Players can not request specific practice days, times or fields. ALC does not know until late March what fields are available. The practice schedule is developed based on the coach’s schedule and the field availability.
